Position: HR Adviser 12 month Interim (Lots of travel involved) Location: London Salary: 28,699- 29,703 per annum London bonus of 3927 Car Coming in and looking after this role whilst our employee goes on maternity cover for 12 months. She leaves first week of Sept and we would like this candidate to start Mid-aug with a view to carry out interviews next week. w/c-24th July. Based in Croydon but moving around a lot. (may only be office based once a week) visiting sites whether asked to by one of the business partners or 'keep your ears to the ground.' Looking over two vetinary areas-10 hospitals. 2 retail areas- 15 shops. WE NEED EXPERIENCE IN A SIMIALR ROLE WITH MULTI SITES EXPERIENCE-if the candidate does not have this experience we will not look at the application. Great experience with influencing line managers/business partners Working with the below- HR-team working along 4 others. Recruitment- working with the Resourcing Officer-and 3 other remote ones. Purpose- Provide timely and effective HR solutions and practical support to assist line managers in achieving their goals within a local context that complies with PDSA HR policies, best practice, and legislative requirements. Support key activities and projects to ensure that the organisation can deliver objectives through people. Responsibilities Performance Measures Organisational Skills & Values Responsibilities: Develop and sustain effective business relations within the organisation Provide line managers with information and advice on the application of employee and volunteer policies and best practice in people management Assist line managers in improving performance standards, provide guidance in the resolution of performance, and conduct issues through the use of informal and formal procedures, e.g. probationary reviews, PDRs, disciplinary, performance improvement and grievance procedures etc Ensure that case work is effectively managed in line with required timelines, SLAs and KPIs Contribute to the development of HR policy and practice by undertaking HR related projects Review and interpret people data reports and coach and support line managers to identify trends and resolve issues Assist with the design and delivery of HR related training programmes. Support with the effective and consistent application of pay and benefit protocols Assist with the recruitment and selection of key roles within the region, and liaise with the Resource & Training Officer and HR Shared Services team Support projects and activities in line with business and team requirements Compliance with all PDSA policies and procedures Performance Measures: Case work SLAs and KPIs Timely & effective management of employee relations issues People data Organisational skills and & Values: Head and Heart Better together Passion with purpose Planning and organising Acting Commercially Leading effectively Role-specific knowledge & skills: Essential Proven track record of providing generalist employee relations advice and coaching. High standard of verbal and written communication skills Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards in all situations Ability to work autonomously and manage own workload Ability to influence and build effective working relationships Good IT skills A full UK driving licence as travel throughout the region and occasional national travel will be required Desirable Fully CIPD qualified Experience of providing ER advice within a multi-site environment KEY SKILLS Multi-site HR experience, influencing business partners, very close internal relationships.
