Due to current state of the business, this well established asbestos company is now looking for a competent, self-driven and astute Asbestos Contracts Director to work for them in the South East and will include applications from London, Essex, Surrey, Kent and the surrounding areas. Ideally they are looking for an individual who can run and build a large presence in the South East. The applicant must come from strong educational, asbestos, removals, supervisory, management, sales, business development and contracts background. Must have good communication, organizational, people management, leadership, presentation and client facing skills. Must be IT literate. Must be conversant with the asbestos industry and Health & Safety procedures and legislation. Must have a proven track record working within this role and within the asbestos industry. Key Role: Overseeing Asbestos Supervisors, Contracts Managers and office staff and ensuring that they carry out the work effectively and appropriately. Covering a mixed bag of contracts - locally and nationally - Carrying out management duties on both large and medium scaled asbestos projects - overseeing work carried out by asbestos removal teams - contractors and sub-contractors. Assessing potential contracts, estimating and completing risk assessments. Preparing method statements necessary for the work completed. Managing teams and organizing teams to complete contracts professionally, attending meetings and developing and maintaining relationships with clients from all levels. Making recommendations in relation to improvements in client service and delivering good service to clients. Producing monthly management reports using company procedures and within set timescales. Managing labour force, organizing staff and allocating jobs. Completing risk assessments and method statements, and writing tenders, specifications, appraisals and ASB5 notifications proficiently. Ensuring that the staff/team complete contracts in a professional manner. Ensuring that the team achieves the company's safety and quality standards. Delivering good services and at the same time making recommendations for improvement. Submitting comprehensive reports - using company procedures and within time scale. Building and maintaining a good rapport with clients, existing and new clients. Attributes: In general, you will be commercially focused, have good understanding of all aspects of the contracting process, etc., and at the same time focus on taking the business forward.
