Our client is one of the leading Main Contractors in the UK who have offices all over the UK. They have recently won several live refurbishments to shopping centres and are looking to add a Site Manager to their team to work on a shopping centre in the Surrey area. This is a 4 month contract and the successful candidate must have experience working on a refurbishment in a live environment. The project value is £8m. Responsibilities as Site Manager include: - Organising the site to deliver programme requirements on a daily basis. - Overseeing and managing a team of subcontractors. - Co-ordinating sub-contractors to ensure efficiency of work. - Ensuring company HS&E and quality standards, operating processes, company policies and all legislative requirements are understood, implemented and adhered to at all times. - Monitor the quality of work carried out ensuring high standards of quality are achieved and addressing any issues with sub-contractors / trades. - Ensuring all programmes, plans, method statements and risk assessments are up to date, understood and adhered to by all the necessary people. Experience Required: - Minimum 5 years Site Manager Experience. - Previous experience working in a live environment essential. - MUST have CSCS / SMSTS / First aid. - Strong reporting skills.
