Salary: GBP24,800- GBP26,200 (dependent on experience) plus 8% pension contribution

You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and impactful running of ShareAction's projects in support of low-carbon business practices, with a particular focus on renewable electricity and energy productivity. The role will involve a range of tasks including research and analysis, relationship management (including leading in-person meetings with companies), media monitoring, data entry and administrative tasks, as well as contributing to reporting and fundraising.

Key Responsibilities:

Relationship management: Build and maintain relationships with a network of relevant stakeholders, including arranging and leading in-person meetings with target companies.

Research and analysis: Undertaking desk-based research on relevant reports and wider developments including within target companies; draw analysis from findings.

Reporting and copywriting: Contribute to communication outputs for relevant internal/external audiences.

Admin and data management: Input to CRM systems and track relationships. Arrange meetings and event logistics.

Media and social media monitoring and logging: Keep track of activity and influencers related to project areas; monitor key existing/emerging issues and relevant arguments to enhance the case for support.

Strategy and fundraising: Contribute to review, planning, bid and reporting activities as they relate to the projects and, as appropriate, the wider organisation.

Person specification

Required:

An enthusiasm for low-carbon business practices and an interest in energy efficiency
A dynamic approach and an aptitude for working independently while exercising initiative, as well as part of a team; a willingness to adapt to varied demands
Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as confidence in setting an appropriate tone with different audiences (including companies and investors)
Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, and proven capacity to undertake varied tasks simultaneously to tight deadlines
Attention to detail with excellent analysis and research skills
Demonstrably methodical approach to identifying issues and problem solving
Proven ability to analyse, interpret and communicate complex information
An understanding of the role that investors and businesses play in solving global issues

Desirable:

Knowledge related to low-carbon business models and energy technology
Experience of working with or in the investment or private sectors
Experience of public engagement, including use of social media as part of a campaign

A few more details

Hours of work: 35 hrs per week with an expectation of some out of hours working
Holidays: 25 days per annum plus working days between Christmas and New Year, plus statutory bank holidays
