Graduate Project Manager

Our client is a young and dynamic design and project management consultancy specialising in design and effective use of space within the workplace. They pride ourselves on offering a complete service to their clients. They have been based in London now for 20 years and work very closely with a range of national clients. Our client was established to develop and implement creative design solutions, workplace strategies, tools and services to ease the pressure on property teams tasked with balancing demand with a rationalised and profitable real estate strategy. Our client has helped to bring a structured and deliverable property plan to many of our clients whilst improving the environment and functionality of office spaces for those that work within them. The role: We are currently looking for a self-motivated and energetic Graduate Project Manager to join their busy London team.

The role is varied and covers a number of disciplines from refurbishment design, moves management, furniture specification and project management, and will require enthusiasm and commitment. Excellent IT and communication skills are a must, along with an interest in workplace design and new ways of working.

The right candidate must have an industry-relevant built environment/construction/surveying degree. Evidence of relevant work-based experience during or since study would be beneficial.

The individual will support our team and assist with managing a number of projects on the ground. The role will include day to day liaison with project teams in order to assist the development of our space management tools, project processes, office move & churn activities. Assistance with management/reporting requirements and the delivery of the project to the required standard, on time and within budget is essential to the role. Assisting with technical solutions required on a day to day basis and to help the team to enhance project and business performance will also be an integral part of the role.

Duties:

Assisting with:

  • Taking and developing project brief in line with clients' requirements;
  • Project execution planning with costings & programmes for completion of project and specification of works;
  • Organisation of documents for tender and advising on the appointment of contractors, designers and procurement routes;
  • Contract administration support throughout project execution phase;
  • Liaising with contractors, consultants and central service department advisors during the on-site construction period;
  • Involvement in the planning, implementation and management of moves;
  • Identifying and communicating with internal businesses throughout the project;
  • Liaison with approved suppliers for furniture and installation teams on site;
  • Project support and moves management out of hrs as required - flexibility in working to deliver all projects;
  • Project support to all other members of the team.
