Badenoch & Clark is currently working alongside an expansive and innovative company based out of Redhill towards the appointment of an Assistant Accountant. With a dotted line into the Financial Controller, you will be required to assist them in the preparation of monthly accounts and will be expected to do so within the given time restraints. Due to the nature of this role, the ideal applicant will be studying towards their professional accounting qualification. You will be a pivotal member of the finance team and as such, you will be expected to be efficient, accurate and innovative in your day-to-day function. Key Accountabilities: Take accountability for the accuracy, integrity and subsequent analysis of financial reporting. Produce journals for the company as required. Maintain the fixed asset register. Balance sheet reconciliations. Report into the sales ledger team and update monthly cash spreadsheets. Undertake ad-hoc reporting responsibilities as required. Responsible for the creation of spreadsheets including cost and variance analysis. Essentials: Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written. Exemplary communicative capacity both oral and written. Effective reconciliation and problem solving abilities. Experience undertaking reconciliation responsibilities. Proficiency in excel.
