About us
Crisis is the national charity for homeless people. We know that homelessness is not inevitable. We know that together we can end it.

About the role
We are recruiting for two Housing Coaches to join an innovative new service supporting those at risk of homelessness in Brent. The service is funded through the DCLG's Trailblazer programme and delivered in partnership with two of the UK's leading homelessness charities, Crisis and Thames Reach and the UK's leading investor in Social Impact Bonds, Bridges. The project also aims to work with a variety of local and community organisations to ensure beneficiaries receive the right kinds of support in a coordinated way.

As Housing Coach, you will work as part of the Trailblazers Team, providing brief intervention to:

Produce a Personal Housing Plan for clients
Prevent evictions for those at risk of homelessness
Secure suitable accommodation for people who are homeless
Make referrals into community services providing support around employment and health
Ensure that accommodation is maintained for more than eight months

About you
To be successful, you will have in-depth knowledge of housing and homelessness legislation, the private rented sector and the benefits system and be able to apply this to achieve outcomes for clients. You will be a strong communicator with the ability to advocate effectively and maintain appropriate professional boundaries. The project, Brent Single PASS, is a payment by results service and so you will be comfortable working to targets within this context.

Benefits
As a member of the team you will have access to a wide range of employee benefits including:

?? Interest free loans to purchase a train season ticket or a bike or for a deposit to secure a tenancy
?? Mandatory pension scheme, with an employer contribution of 8.5%
?? 25 days' annual leave which increases with service to 28 days

Alongside our excellent staff benefits, we will support your ongoing development to build your skills, experience and career.
