Applications are invited for a Student Administration Assistant (Postgraduate Research & Non-standard Programmes) in the Student Administration section of Academic Services.

The Student Administration section is responsible for all the central administrative functions in relation to the student life cycle including enrolment, examinations, academic timetabling and the Graduation ceremonies, as well as the Student Services Centre.

The Student Administration Assistant (PGR & Non-standard Programmes) will support the administration of a variety of non-standard programmes. They will also take responsibility for the administration of the Masters by Research degrees examination process and the appointment and payment of PhD examiners. The role involves the methodical and accurate entry of data and excellent attention to detail when handling exam documentation.

Candidates for this post should have excellent organisational skills and should enjoy managing a number of tasks at the same time. In addition, candidates should be committed to providing excellent customer service by phone, e-mail and the Doctoral School website, to students and staff and be able to demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to working in Higher Education.

The role-holder will work closely with other colleagues in the Student Administration team, as well as colleagues from other Professional Services areas, to ensure that a well-co-ordinated service is provided to students on research degree or non-standard programmes.
