The Nursing and Midwifery Council regulates nurses and midwives in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland setting standards of education, training, conduct and performance so that nurses and midwives can deliver high quality healthcare throughout their careers.

Our strategy for the next five years sets out how we will develop our work to protect patients and the public effectively and efficiently. It places dynamic regulation at the centre of what we do and sets out where we think we should focus our energies and resources in order to promote standards of care and practice.

The International Registration team is responsible for assessing applications from nurses and midwives who have trained outside of the UK but who wish to practice here. You will work alongside the other registration and assessment officers in preparing nurses and midwives applications, which includes making judgments on the authenticity of applications, assessing whether applicants meet the minimum criteria to apply for registration and ruling out possible fraudulent applications. You will also be responsible for the administration of this process, answering customer queries either in writing or over the phone, scanning and logging responses into our data management system.
