Enhance the wellbeing of the HMRC Estate team.
Across HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC), we are revolutionising our services to make them more digital and customer-friendly. Based across several regional locations - one of which is in Worthing- our staff enjoy working in modern offices that are designed to suit the needs of the team both now and in the future. In order to create an optimum atmosphere for our people, we're focussed on ensuring our teams feel safe and secure when they come to work, which is where you come in.
Working within the Estates Directorate, you will therefore support theteam as they provide working environments which their customers will find inspirational and fit for purpose. Ensuring the safety of the staff and the security of the buildings, you will be the first point of contact on the reception desk, keeping records of who is in the building and monitoring the CCTV, intruder and fire alarm panels. You will also answer the phones, liaise with the emergency services, take responsibility for the post and undertake extensive internal and external patrols of the site. This is a great role with the potential to be the friendly face who welcomes our staff to work every morning and sees them safely out of the buildings at night - making you a crucial part of the team.
To make the most of this interesting role, you will be willing to work a flexible shift pattern which includes a mixture of day shifts (6.30am to 6.30pm), night shifts (6.30pm to 6.30am), weekends and bank holidays. With the ability to make effective decisions and work collaboratively with your colleagues, you will play a crucial part in helping us deliver a quality service. You will also need fantastic communication skills and a proactive approach to your varied role. In turn, we can promise an interesting working day, with plenty of support to help develop your skills and capabilities - and colleagues who will always be pleased to see you.
There has ever been a more exciting time to join this dynamic team, so if you share our high standards and are committed to establishing a fantastic career within HMRC, then we'd love to hear from you.
